All cardboard figures are estimates, not quotes. Assumes one new box per tote at about $2.40 each; about $0.30 of tape per box; about 3 minutes per box to buy, build, tape, and break down; a recycling/haul-away run of about 0.5, 1, or 1.5 hours (by move size); and renting the same number of dollies our package includes at about $20/week each (our own add-on price). Time is valued at the hourly rate you choose. Each line is rounded to the dollar and totals add the rounded lines. CO₂ at about 0.5 kg CO₂e per box and 0.4 kg per mile driven. Tote total is the package's weekly price × weeks; the $25 refundable deposit isn't a cost and isn't included.

How many totes do I need?
A rough guide: a studio or one-bedroom usually fits in around 20 totes, a two-to-three bedroom home in about 35, and a full house in 50–60. Not sure? Pick the closest package and add single totes ($15/week each), or request a custom count.
How long can I rent the totes?
Rentals are booked in whole weeks, from 1 to 8 weeks. Need longer than 8 weeks? We can do that by request — call or text us at 864-567-1817 or send a custom quote request.
Are the totes clean?
Every tote is cleaned and inspected between rentals, so what shows up at your door is ready to load.
Do the lids stay secure when stacked?
Yes. The totes use snap-on lids and a uniform shape, so they sit flat, stack tall, and stay closed in the truck.

Abbeville, Anderson, Greenville, Greenwood, Laurens, Oconee, Pickens, and Spartanburg counties. If you're near the edge of the Upstate, reach out and we'll let you know.
How do I reserve and pay?
Right here on the site, no waiting on a quote. First, pick your rental length (1–8 weeks) and start date in the date picker. Next, add a package to your cart — each one includes 1–3 free dollies. Then check out and pay a $25 refundable deposit today; your full rental amount is billed at delivery. Need something outside our packages? Use the custom quote form below.
What if a tote is damaged or I can't return it?
Damaged or non-returned totes are $10 each. Moving out of the area and want to keep some totes? That's also $10 per tote — just call or text us at 864-567-1817 before pickup. Your $25 refundable deposit is returned after pickup once the totes come back in good shape.
Do I get dollies?
Yes. Every package includes free dollies: 1 with Studio & 1-bed, 2 with 2–3 bedroom, and 3 with Whole house. Need more? Extra dollies are $20/week each — add them under “Build your own” in Pricing.
How does the mid-rental swap work?
The 2–3 bedroom package includes one free tote swap mid-rental. Text us at 864-567-1817 to schedule it.
What is priority scheduling?
Whole-house bookings get first pick of delivery and pickup times.
When is my deposit refunded?
Your $25 deposit is refunded after pickup, once the totes come back in good shape. Damaged or non-returned totes are $10 each.
What if I need to cancel?
Cancel at least 24 hours before your scheduled delivery for a full refund of your deposit — just call or text 864-567-1817 or email quotes@upstatetotes.com. Cancellations within 24 hours of delivery aren't eligible for a refund.
When do you deliver and pick up?
Delivery and pickup happen between 7 AM and 7 PM, any day of the week, and both are free.
